I bought this to use on top of another bench on an intermittant basis. It works great and is of high quality and easy to build. The material is heavy enough for jig work. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Nice product and very easy to assemble, but the tolerances of the cutouts needs to be re-engineered. Had to grind some of the tabs that are inserted into the cutouts probable due to tolerance buildup, but not that big of a deal. Was surprised to findout that each crossing point of the ribs needs to be clamped down before tack welding. I had 28 of these and was able to clamp only the outsides using my C clamps. TMT sells clamp kits for $4 ea for the 14 interior points, but kind of expensive to use only once so made some from 1/4" bar stock. Made legs from 2 - 1 x 2 box tubes that fit nicely into the cutouts. Other than these minor problems went together fast and made a nice table.

Lots of guys use c-clamps, bar clamps, make their own tabs like you did, etc. Yes, as shown in our detailed assembly videos on YouTube you'll want a grinder with flap disc to quickly knock down any sharp edges for a nice tight fit up/assembly. It sounds like you did things the right way and got a good result.

I’ve seen several different bench top welding tables. This one seemed to be the best design and looked like it would do the job for me. When I received the kit, I immediately knew I had made the right choice. Very well designed, heavy duty and fit was precise. I had zero issues fitting it together and welding it up. If you are thinking of buying this table, stop thinking and buy it. You will NOT be disappointed!! I absolutely will recommend this item to anyone who’s in need of a great welding table.
