Great idea but functional issues
My vise would not open due to the table being made out of 2” square tubing, when I tried to switch to a bigger vise it would not bolt up to the pivot plate as it was too big. I ended up having to put shims under the vise to be able to clear the top of the table. I find that the vise moves too much in the receiver and does not hold the vise as solid as having it directly mounted to the table. I am guessing if you take the time to tighten all six little bolts on the receiver once the pivot plate is installed this would hold it more solid but then you lose the function of being able to easily remove & install your vise. No mounting bolts supplied for the receiver which would of been handy.

Hi Aisa, thanks for the feedback. The shim under your vise looks like the perfect fix to get the additional height you wanted. Another option is to mount the receiver to the top of the table, or side of the table.
Yes, if you tighten up the 1/4" screws it'll lock the receiver tightly in place. I keep a 7/16" socket/ratchet on hand to make quick work of it. With those screws snugged up it's tight enough that I can move the 200 LB table it's attached to without the pivot plate budging in the receiver.
I hope the above suggestions are useful and provide you with more enjoyment from the product. Thanks!
